This is how you finish a mud run!
The Dominion Riverrock MGD 64 Filthy 5k Mud Run was a big hit. This was my first time running it or any type of Mud Race, but as you can see from my picture I found the mud. If I was to run it again I would try and start as close to the front as possible. There is so much stopping and starting while waiting to jump rocks, navigating staircases is slow and the trail is so narrow there isn’t anywhere to easily pass. I ran with a friend and the goal was to have fun and get dirty so time didn’t matter, but if time is your goal be aware there are a lot of bottleneck areas throughout the course. The overall experience was fun and the post race vibe from everyone was awesome. I highly recommend it!
Here are a few more pictures to encourage or discourage you from signing up next year.
